Mill Street Opportunity Alliance (The Alliance) – our future 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on education, food security, and community impact.

Mill Street Market Farm Stop and Cafe, L3C (MSM L3C) – our mission-driven retail and food enterprise supporting local producers and sustainable business growth.

Together, we are building a model for rural revitalization and community resilience.

Mill Street Market Farm Stop & Cafe

Operates under the Mill Street Market Farm Stop and Cafe, L3C

Farm Stop & Café Manager

Leads overall operations of the market and café, overseeing retail, prepared foods, staff management, vendor relationships, and customer experience. Responsible for team development, inventory oversight, scheduling, and financial performance.

Produce Manager

Oversees sourcing, receiving, merchandising, and rotation of fresh produce. Builds relationships with local growers and ensures quality, freshness, and proper food safety practices.

Café Lead

Manages day-to-day café operations, including staff supervision, food prep coordination, sanitation compliance, and customer service standards.

Baristas

Prepares coffee and specialty beverages, maintains café cleanliness, provides excellent customer service, and supports light food service.

Market Associates

Supports daily retail operations including stocking, checkout, merchandising, and customer engagement within the Farm Stop.

Child Development Center

Child Development Center Positions
(Operated under Mill Street Opportunity Alliance)

Child Development Center Director
Provides overall leadership and oversight of the Child Development Center. Responsible for licensing compliance, staff supervision, budgeting, enrollment growth, family engagement, curriculum implementation, and maintaining a safe, nurturing learning environment. Serves as the primary liaison between families, staff, and campus leadership.

Assistant Director / Registrar
Supports daily operations of the Child Development Center, including enrollment management, recordkeeping, licensing documentation, scheduling, and family communication. Assists the Director with staff coordination and ensures smooth administrative operations.

Infant Room

Infant Lead Teacher
Leads the infant classroom, implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. Oversees daily routines, developmental tracking, and parent communication. Supervises classroom support teachers.

Infant Teachers (2 Positions)
Support the Lead Teacher in providing attentive care, feeding, diapering, developmental activities, and maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment.

Toddler Room

Toddler Lead Teacher
Develops and implements age-appropriate curriculum for toddlers. Guides social-emotional development, supervises classroom staff, and ensures compliance with licensing and safety standards.

Toddler Teachers (2 Positions)
Assist with daily care, learning activities, behavior guidance, and classroom organization while supporting toddler development milestones.

Early Preschool

Early Preschool Lead Teacher
Plans and implements structured, play-based learning experiences that support early literacy, social skills, and kindergarten readiness. Oversees classroom operations and mentors assistant teacher.

Early Preschool Teacher
Supports lesson implementation, student supervision, and classroom management in partnership with the Lead Teacher.

Preschool

Preschool Lead Teacher
Leads curriculum planning focused on kindergarten readiness, structured learning, and social development. Manages classroom operations and family communication.

Preschool Teacher
Assists with daily instruction, supervision, and activity facilitation while supporting classroom routines and child engagement.

Floaters
Provides flexible classroom support across all age groups as needed. Assists with supervision, breaks, ratio coverage, and general classroom needs.

Incubator Kitchen & Culinary Education Program

Director of Culinary & Food Programs
The Director of Culinary & Food Programs provides strategic leadership for the campus food program, overseeing all meal preparation for the Child Development Center while coordinating the development and production of prepared foods for the Market. This role integrates nutrition, culinary arts education, and small business development into a cohesive, mission-driven food system. The Director ensures compliance with all food safety and nutrition standards, manages kitchen staff and sourcing with an emphasis on local producers, and leads the creation of value-added food products for retail. In addition, this position supports entrepreneurial education by mentoring emerging food businesses, collaborating with incubator kitchen programming, and helping grow sustainable food enterprises within the campus model.

Cooks (1–3 Positions)
Prepare daily meals and snacks in accordance with approved menus and nutritional standards for the Child Development Center while maintaining high levels of kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and inventory control. In addition to childcare meal service, Cooks support the preparation and production of value-added and prepared food items distributed through the Market and Café. This role assists in batch cooking, packaging, labeling, and maintaining quality standards to ensure consistency across all campus food offerings.

Kitchen Support Staff
Assist with food prep, dishwashing, sanitation, inventory organization, and meal service support.
